The Crack
The Crack is adapted from a short story by Chris Priestley, originally published in Tales of Terror from the Tunnel’s Mouth. The story centres on a seemingly ordinary domestic space disrupted by a small, unexplained crack that appears in a wall. Initially dismissed as trivial, the crack slowly becomes a source of unease, suggesting a hidden presence or pressure behind the surface of everyday life. As attention is drawn to it, the crack begins to widen, implying that something contained, forgotten, or deliberately ignored is forcing its way through. The horror unfolds through suggestion rather than action, using the domestic interior as a site of psychological tension. What lies beyond the crack is never fully revealed, allowing fear to emerge from anticipation, absence, and the sense that the familiar world is no longer secure.
